This week we bring you a useful instructional segment and a newsy item about Ukraine.

G. Rhydian Morgan of the UK, a skilled and experienced World Debate Institute trainer and a communication consultant, talks to judges before the World Schools Debate Academy tournament in 2013. This is the sort of basic briefing that judges should receive, and it is also very useful for debaters who want to understand how judges make decisions. This segment is an easy way for USA judges to get grounded in World Schools debate.

Pavel Bogachenko of Odessa, Ukraine is next, and he talks about the university debate scene there and how it is spreading debate on the schools level, future hopes for the schools program, and a brief discussion of how the political and security situation Ukraine has impacted debating.
